26 Drown as Boat Sinks

DHAKA, Bangladesh — A boat was caught in a storm and sank in the Jamuna River near Tangail, 37 miles north of Dhaka, drowning at least 26 people, the New Nation newspaper reported Friday. The newspaper quoted relatives of victims as saying the boat was carrying 40 passengers when it went down Tuesday.
