A Studio City man was killed Friday when his motorcycle collided with a car, whose driver was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, police said.
James Prestridge, 47, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank after the 12:55 a.m. accident, said Patrick Lyman of the Los Angeles Police Department.
A breath test showed evidence that James Bray, 20, of Burbank was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, Lyman said. Bray was taken to Van Nuys Jail, where bail was set at $5,000, police said.
Bray was making a right turn from westbound Camarillo Street to northbound Cahuenga Boulevard when his car collided with the motorcycle, which was northbound on Cahuenga, Lyman said.
