A 32-year-old woman died Friday of injuries sustained when she was crushed Thursday while working on an automobile in a Placentia body shop, the Orange County coroner reported.
Amparo B. Diaz of Santa Ana was injured at 2 p.m. Thursday while she was applying masking tape to the rear of a car at the Paint Stop, 918 Nancita Circle, Coroner’s Deputy James Hanson said. A fellow employee moving another car apparently did not see Diaz and ran into her, Hanson said.
Diaz died at Western Medical Center, Santa Ana, at 4:10 p.m. Friday, he said. Placentia police could not be reached for additional information about the incident.
