Countesses Aside, the Elephant Can’t Be Cut Up for a Cutlet : Political Posters
- Share via
This is the time of the year when I always wonder why certain politicians leave their ugly posters along our landscape for such a long time after the election.
It is no secret that most Orange County cities have ordinances that make it illegal for candidates to fail to take down their signs within ten days after the election.
What really galls me this year is the newspaper report that Municipal Judge Betty L. Elias is among the worst violators of this law. She should know better.
I commend the Anaheim City Council for taking its recent action to put teeth in that city’s political sign law. I also commend the candidates who removed their signs within the prescribed time limit.
