Jet America Airlines has begun service between Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena airport and Las Vegas, Chicago and Dallas/Ft. Worth. The airline also has begun service to Washington, D.C. via Chicago.
Cathay Pacific Airways is offering five flights per week between San Francisco and Hong Kong. This marks the first time the airline has served the United States. Service will be via Vancouver, Canada.
Resort Commuter Airlines has begun a shuttle service between both Los Angeles International and Orange County airports and McClellan/Palomar airport in Carlsbad, Calif. One-way fare is $39. Add-on fares with major airlines are $15. Resort Commuter also offers six flights a week to Catalina for $58 one way.
American Youth Hostel will present two budget travel workshops on Saturday: beginning at 1 p.m. “Budget Travel Europe,” and at 3 p.m. “Budget Travel Asia, Australia, New Zealand.” They will be held at the Los Angeles hostel, 1502 Palos Verdes Drive North, Harbor City.
