Border-Crossing Insurance

We just returned from Expo 86. It was great. Even our 2-year-old had a good time. However, a word of warning to those with children: We had trouble with the border crossing because we didn’t have proof of our son’s relationship to us. Apparently one should take a birth certificate due to the scare of kidnapings. Luckily, we had a family photograph that the Canadian official accepted.
