Gary Owens’ voice is not the only new one KFI (AM 640) listeners will hear in the months ahead.
Joining the radio station next Monday will be Mike Nolan, formerly of KOY-AM in Phoenix, Ariz., who will be the traffic reporter. He replaces Bruce Wayne, who was killed in an airplane crash June 4.
Joining Owens, who takes over the 6-to-10 a.m. slot Sept. 8, will be former KFWB (AM 980) news anchor Dan Avery.
And Roger Rose, the son of former KFI talk-show host Hilly Rose, has been signed to co-host from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with station program director Steve LaBeau, beginning Sept. 15.
