Police seized 76 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $10 million after officers arrived on the scene of an unrelated U.S. Customs Service investigation at the Quality Inn in Buena Park. “People had called saying guys were running around with guns and badges,” Police Officer Terry Branum said. Officers arrived and found a kilogram of cocaine and information leading to an apartment in Anaheim, where they found 33 kilos of cocaine and $37,000 in cash, Branum said. Five people were arrested. The arrests came just a day after federal agents seized 1,042 pounds of cocaine and $628,000 cash and arrested seven people in raids on houses and apartments in Los Angeles, Monrovia, Hacienda Heights and San Dimas.
