FESTIVAL OF ANIMATION SET

The 16th Annual Animation Art Festival, sponsored by ASIFA/Hollywood (the international animation society), will be held on Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Aug. 24 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Westside Pavilion, 10800 W. Pico Blvd.
Celebrity voice artists, including June Foray (Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Natasha & Jokey Smurf) and well-known animators will make appearances. There will also be ink and pen demonstrations.
On sale at the world’s largest animation festival will be more than 3,000 animated art cels (sheets of clear acetate bearing animated characters) and drawings from TV shows, commercials and feature films. Included are authenticated cels of Bullwinkle, Dudley Do-Right, Huckleberry Hound, the Flintstones, Smurfs and others.
