Construction Started on Navy Data Center

A March, 1987 completion is scheduled for the $15-million, 135,300-square-foot Navy Area Regional Data Automation Center on North Island Naval Air Station in Coronado.
The facility was designed by Krommenhoek/McKeown & Associates, San Diego, for the Department of the Navy. Trepte Construction is the general contractor. The computer center portion of the project will be dedicated to Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper, a pioneer in the development of computer language.
