Bush’s Mission to Jordan
How can a responsible paper like The Times write two completely opposite stories about George Bush in Jordan?
Your writer Charles P. Wallace wrote with enough absurd illustrations to make Bush look like the “Jerry Ford” that he is--complete with enough social blunders and political gaffes to outdo his teacher.
Then on the next day you had another article on the very same trip, which made Bush the man of the hour burdened down with a lot of very important affairs of state to keep the whole State Department busy for the rest of this term.
Which one of your articles must I put my faith in?
