“Tango by Oscar Araiz.” Geneva Grand Theatre Ballet. V.I.E.W. $59.95. Araiz himself may be Argentine but his 12-part, 57-minute dance suite to artsy arrangements of folk music is strictly “Tango Genevo”: pretentious in theatrical concept (with a candle-lit Kyrie as a prologue), balleticized in choreographic style (with young classical dancers faking the intensity, sensuality and barrio authority you don’t learn at the barre ). The camera work is often confusing as well, but a few effective, unidentified soloists and Araiz’s incisive sense of social commentary do brighten what is otherwise a real Swiss miss.
