Computer Graphics Keep Tabs on Space
The Westside Pavilion shopping mall, Pico and Westwood boulevards in West Los Angeles, uses a state-of-the-art computer graphics system to keep track of its 300,000 square feet of rental space.
Devised by Environetics International Inc., Los Angeles, the program displays a detailed floor plan of the mall, as well as an inventory of rental space. Similar programs devised by the interior architectural firm are used by New York’s Mount Sinai Medical Center, the Prudential Life Insurance Co. and the federal General Services Administration.
