Authorities released the identities of an Arcadia couple who were killed in a head-on collision near Val Verde--and of the drunk driving suspect whose car crashed into them. The California Highway Patrol said James Jones, 44, and his wife, Catherine, 42, were killed when a car driven by Luis Maraza, 42, of Sylmar crashed into their van after swerving across the center line of California 126 near Indian Dunes Park. The Joneses’ sons, Scott, 17, and Gary, 5, were injured. The boys were taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, where they were reported in serious condition. Maraza was reported in good condition at the same hospital, where he was held on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony drunk driving.
