Clippers Invite Nine to Join in Fall Drills

Seven players who took part in the Clippers’ recently concluded rookie/free agent camp and two others have been invited by the team to participate in its regular season training camp that opens Oct. 4 at Cal Poly Pomona.
The seven are draftees Dwayne Polee, Steffond Johnson and Tim Kempton and free agents Nigel Lloyd, Bobby Parks, Jose Slaughter and Sam Williams. Slaughter is a former Indiana Pacer, while Williams played for both the Golden State Warriors and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Also invited to the camp were Clipper veterans Jeff Cross and Ozell Jones.
