The City Council unanimously approved final plans for renovation of Peninsula Center at the corner of Hawthorne Boulevard and Silver Spur Road, including new store facades and the addition of 20,000 square feet of retail space.
The multimillion-dollar proposal, submitted by the center’s owner, Sierra Management Services, will include additional landscaping and patio areas, according to Planning Director Stephen Emslie.
The new facade will be painted coral and beige and will feature several Mediterranean-style arches, Emslie said. Construction is expected to begin next spring and be completed in the fall.
