Maywood : Renewal Area Expanded

The City Council Tuesday adopted an ordinance amending its redevelopment plan to include two blocks across the street from the Maywood Town Center.
The area--bordered by Atlantic Boulevard, Pine Avenue, Slauson Avenue and 57th Street--is planned for an eight-acre shopping center. The city would like to attract a large clothing or appliance store to anchor the center.
