The Arab League called Cameroon’s resumption of diplomatic relations with Israel a “severe blow” to Arab and African people. “This decision can only be intended to undermine and split the principles of solidarity and cooperation that unify Arab and African states,” the organization, which includes 21 nations and the Palestine Liberation Organization, said in a statement. Israel and South Africa “together lead a campaign against the rights of our people and multiply threats to their security and territorial integrity,” the league said.
