Hassan Abrogates Libya Treaty

RABAT — Morocco’s King Hassan said today he has decided to abrogate the state union treaty he signed two years ago with Libya.
In a message to Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi released by the palace here, Hassan said his decision was in response to a joint statement issued Thursday by Syria and Libya that condemned last month’s visit to Morocco by Israeli Premier Shimon Peres.
