2--The Challenger disaster.
3--The Russian Chernobyl accident.
4--
Will our 1986 tax proposal qualify as No. 4?
Common thread: impatience! “Hammering out the flaws is taking too long. Let’s rush it through and maybe the problems will just take care of themselves.”
Expediency replacing efficiency.
We must not forget the above three examples. The price this time could be just too high, the effects too far reaching. We have history to refer to. I hope we will.
