OCEANSIDE — A 28-year-old Oceanside woman died of injuries she received when she tried to stop her car from rolling backward Saturday, an Oceanside Police spokeswoman said.
Faith O’Neal had been backing her car out of the driveway at her Fire Mountain Drive home when her dog escaped from the backyard and attacked a passing jogger, police said. When the jogger got away from the dog, she returned and tried to re-enter the car but was pinned between the car door and a tree.
