A 30-year-old Moorpark man staying at a Reno hotel lost $200,000 in jewelry to a thief early Sunday morning, Reno police said Tuesday.
The man, Manuel S. Asadurian, told police he was victimized after he met a woman in her mid-20s in a casino Saturday night, then took her to his room at Harrah’s Hotel, Sgt. Roland Simoneau said in a written statement.
When he awoke about 2 a.m. Sunday, the woman and the jewelry were gone, Simoneau said.
Police said the investigation is continuing.
