Memorial Service Slated: A memorial service for a mother and daughter burned to death in a Santa Ana car crash will be held tonight at 7 at La Purisima Catholic Church, with a funeral service set for Friday morning. The two victims, Blanca E. Menendez, 36, and her 5-year-old daughter, Jenny, were killed when their car was rear-ended on 17th Street on Monday. Mrs. Menendez, a native of El Salvador who has lived in the county for 10 years, is survived by her husband, Saul Fraga, and 3-year-old son. The funeral service will be held at the church, located at 11712 Hewes Ave., at 9 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow.
