Three men have been arrested and charged with breaking into a car parked at a theater, police reported Saturday.
Police Chief Elvin Mialis said the arrests culminated a monthlong investigation into a series of break-ins of vehicles parked at the Family Four Cinema in the 17160 block of Brookhurst Street.
Mialis said a squad of undercover officers made the arrests at about 8:30 p.m. Friday. Booked into the County Jail were Crecencio Bustillos, 20, and John V. Tovar, 21, both of Santa Ana, and Martin Aguilar Quinones, 23, of Orange.
Bail was set at $10,000 each on the burglary charges.
He said the three were arrested while allegedly breaking into a Toyota parked at the theater. He added that police had been summoned to the theater’s parking lot often in the past few months to investigate reports of theft of car stereos and other items.
