CAIRO — Defense Secretary Caspar W. Weinberger met Egyptian Defense Minister Abdel-Halim abu Ghazala during a brief stopover in Cairo on Friday, then headed for Italy, where he is due to hold meetings today with Prime Minister Bettino Craxi and other officials.
