Loara, Pacifica to Play for Lead in Empire Tonight

First place in the Empire League will be at stake tonight when Loara High School plays host to Pacifica at 7:30 in Glover Stadium at Anaheim.
Pacifica (2-0 in league, 3-2 overall) is the league leader. The Mariners have outscored two league opponents by 61-0. Loara (1-0-1, 4-0-1) has allowed only 22 points and intercepted 10 passes.
The Mariners rely on the running of tailback Ray Willis. Willis has gained 485 yards for a 5.7 average with 5 touchdowns.
The Saxon secondary is led by defensive backs Brian Roberts, who has four interceptions, and Danny Rodriguez, who has two.
In other action, Santiago plays host to Bolsa Grande at Garden Grove High School, Anaheim meets Western at Western and Villa Park plays Santa Ana in Santa Ana Stadium. All games begin at 7:30.
