CSUN Soccer Team, Cal Poly Tie, 0-0

The Cal State Northridge men’s soccer team, ranked fourth in the NCAA Division II, settled for a scoreless tie with unranked Cal Poly Pomona in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. game Friday at Pomona.
The Matadors (8-2-2, 3-0-1 in conference) outshot Pomona, 21-18, but couldn’t manage to get past goalie Tony Rieger, who had 12 saves. Northridge goalie Michael Caputo had seven saves.
