The Southern California Rapid Transit District began changing the routes of 32 bus lines operating on Figueroa and Flower streets in anticipation of construction work on the new Los Angeles Metro Rail project. Later this year or early next year, Figueroa Street will become one-way northbound between Olympic Boulevard and 2nd Street, and Flower Street will become one-way southbound between 3rd Street and Washington Boulevard. The bus lines which have new route changes are: Lines 48, 53, 81, 60, 61, 96, 358, 360, 412, 419, 423, 427, 430, 431, 434, 436, 437, 438, 439, 455, 456, 457, 459, 460, 462,464 ,466, 470, 471, 495, 497, 498.
