Rangers called the Los Angeles Fire Department when they found five 55-gallon barrels containing an unidentified blue liquid dumped along Griffith Park Drive, near Traveltown, in Griffith Park. Firefighters and a hazardous materials team examined the liquid and turned the problem over to the county health department when they decided it was a non-toxic, though somewhat flammable, solvent. Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells said a private company will remove the barrels.
