Kings Play at Montreal Tonight

MONTREAL — The Kings, limping along on a seven-game trip, will meet the Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens tonight.
Los Angeles has lost every game on this trip, although all have been close. The Kings were beaten, 5-4, Saturday night by the New York Islanders as mistakes once again proved costly. With a 3-6-0 record, and a challenging schedule immediately ahead, Coach Pat Quinn’s hopes for a good start this season appear dim.
The Canadiens are 3-3-2 and coming off a 3-3 tie in overtime with the New York Rangers Saturday night. Guy Carbonneau had two goals and one assist for the Canadiens, a team that is still experimenting with various line combinations.
The Kings were 1-2-0 against Montreal last season.
