Amperif named Stephen E. Fox to the new position of vice president and general counsel. Fox was previously general counsel for Perlman Enterprises, a Los Angeles investment company. Amperif, based in Chatsworth, makes disk drives that store and retrieve data for mainframe computers, primarily ones manufactured by Sperry.
