Times Mirror Co. said David A. Laventhol and Tom Johnson were elected directors, effective Jan. 1. On the same day, Laventhol will become president and Johnson will become vice chairman of the Los Angeles-based media company, which owns The Times.
Both are currently senior vice presidents of Times Mirror; Johnson is also publisher and chief executive of The Times. Robert F. Erburu will continue as chairman and chief executive of Times Mirror.
