After more than a year of sagging profits, EIP Microwave Inc. of Newport Beach has named a new president and chief operating officer, as well as a new chief financial officer.
Jeffrey B. Bryant, formerly EIP’s executive vice president and general manager, was appointed president and chief operating officer for the company that makes microwave test and measurement instruments. Bryant replaces L. Russell Foster who was said to have resigned to pursue other interests. Foster had been with the company for 13 years when he resigned late last week.
Bryant, described by EIP Vice Chairman Mark Howlett as “very strong,” has been with the company since September, 1985. Previously, he worked for IBM for 18 years and then for three years with Memorex as division vice president and general manager.
Jonathan W. Clem was named vice president of finance and chief financial officer to replace Richard Certo, who resigned in late October.
In his new capacity, Clem will be responsible for all financial and information systems operations for the company. Before joining EIP, Clem spent 10 years with General Electric Corp. in San Jose.
EIP maintains its manufacturing facilities in San Jose and has only its corporate offices in Newport Beach.
