Malcolm K. Green has been named president and chief executive of Informer Computer Terminals Inc. in Laguna Beach, a struggling maker of terminals and communications products for IBM and Digital Equipment Corp. computers.
Green, who served as executive vice president at Emulex Corp. in Costa Mesa for six years, replaces Lars Persson. Persson continues to serve as chairman of the board for the company.
Informer, a 15-year-old, privately held company, has been losing money lately and Green’s appointment was described by the company as an attempt to bolster its management.
