Homicide detectives are investigating the apparent drug overdose death of a 44-year-old man whose body was found Wednesday in an abandoned building near Malibu Lake, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The body was found at 12:30 p.m. at 29213 Crags Drive, Deputy Sam Jones said. No other details were given.
Police withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of his family.
