Award Winner to Study Experimental Music

Ken Igarashi, a UCLA graduate student in ethnomusicology, has won the 1986 John Lennon Award. He will use the $1,000 prize to conduct a study of urban experimental music. The award was established in 1982 to provide funds for a graduate music student to engage in research or creative activity under faculty supervision.
