6 Die in Sri Lanka Clash

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Three policemen and three civilians were killed Saturday in a guerrilla ambush and an ensuing gun battle in eastern Sri Lanka on Saturday, police said. A 19-hour curfew was imposed on the town of Kalmunai in the Batticaloa district after the policemen were shot dead and three civilians were killed in crossfire between commandos and rebels.
