Ex-Defense Official Thayer Ends Insider Trading Term

DALLAS — W. Paul Thayer, former deputy director of defense and former chief of LTV Corp., has been released from a halfway house after serving a 19-month sentence for his involvement in an insider trading scandal. Officials confirmed that Thayer, 66, and co-defendant Billy Bob Harris, 46, a Dallas stockbroker, were released Friday.
