Phil Donahue, who has been involved in two “spacebridge” broadcasts linking U.S. and U.S.S.R. audiences in the last year, now has made arrangements to tape his syndicated talk show in the Soviet Union.
The shows will be taped in Moscow Jan. 22-31 for scheduled airing Feb. 9-13 in this country. They will be seen at a later date in the Soviet Union.
Donahue said no restrictions have been placed on topics to be discussed or on audience selection. He plans to use his customary audience format, with a Soviet studio audience and guests (via interpreters) discussing a variety of human interest topics.
There also will be taped location insets from Leningrad, Kiev and Moscow.
