Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley is expected today to appoint Dennis Nishikawa to the city’s Board of Public Works. Nishikawa would replace Homer Broome Jr., who resigned recently to run for the Los Angeles City Council’s 10th District seat. Nishikawa, who would be the board’s first Asian appointee, has been a longtime aide to the former 10th District Councilman Dave Cunningham.
