Reputed Mob boss Nicodemo (Little Nicky) Scarfo was denied bail and ordered jailed until his trial on charges he conspired to extort $1 million from a waterfront developer. “He has a history of crimes of violence (and) is a dangerous defendant (who) has made threats about others involved in this case,” U.S. Magistrate Edwin Nythons ruled in Philadelphia. Scarfo, 57, allegedly took part in a foiled plot that included City Councilman Leland Beloff to collect the money from developer Willard Rouse III.
