A Guided Tour of Waikiki

HONOLULU — The open-air Waikiki trolley is offering visitors a new way to see Hawaii. Part early horse-drawn Honolulu streetcar and part San Francisco cable car, the 34-seat motorized trolley is the brainchild of John Bridzle and Roger Watson of E Noa Tours.
Two trolleys are available for 90-minute tours that follow a route through some of Waikiki’s most colorful side streets, making 23 scheduled stops.
Historic sites and other places of interest are pointed out by the drivers, who also offer facts and anecdotes about Hawaii’s monarchy, history and current celebrities.
Passengers may get off and reboard at an unlimited number of stops to explore, shop or go to the beach. Attractions on the route include the Honolulu Zoo, the Aquarium, International Market Place and the Queen Kapiolani Rose Gardens.
In addition to the two regular trolleys, which operate from 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., a third is available for charter.
