MAI Basic Four Inc., a Tustin computer manufacturer, reported a 39% earnings growth to $4.6 million for its fiscal 1987 first quarter ended Dec. 31 from $3.3 million a year earlier.
First-quarter revenues rose 10.5% to $71.9 million from $65.1 million.
Company officials said strong sales of one of its mini-computer lines and a decline in operating expenses contributed to the increased earnings.
