A third hotel worker was charged with arson, murder and conspiracy in the New Year’s Eve fire that killed 96 people and injured more than 100 at the Dupont Plaza Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Jose Francisco Rivera Lopez, 40, had been employed at the hotel for the last two years as a bar and banquet worker and, like the other two suspects already in custody, is a member of the Teamsters Union. The Teamsters had broken off contract negotiations with the hotel minutes before the fire started.
