Gary Baze Rides Forlitano to Win at Santa Anita

Favored Forlitano, ridden by Gary Baze, rallied in the final furlong to win by a half-length Thursday in the $45,000 feature race for older horses at Santa Anita.
Bob Back, ridden by Laffit Pincay, finished second, 1 3/4 lengths in front of Aventino, who was disqualified by track stewards for interference in the stretch and placed fifth. Mr. Happy was placed third.
Forlitano, who earned $24,750 with the victory, was clocked in 1:48 for 1 1/8 miles over a firm turf course. Sent off the 17-10 choice, Forlitano paid $5.40 to win.
