San Pedro : Program to Aid Homeless

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has approved a $202,500 contract with Harbor View House for short-term crisis residential care for mentally ill homeless people in the South Bay, Supervisor Deane Dana has announced.
Harbor View offers special programs for the homeless, including education in daily living skills, personal hygiene, money management, resident work programs and a six-bed overnight crisis program.
The agency has also received $12,500 in state money to purchase equipment for the mental health programs.
