An 18-year-old Agoura Hills man was killed late Saturday when his car struck a utility pole, apparently during a race with another car on a mountain road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Michael Johnson was driving south about 11:30 p.m. on Kanan Road south of Agoura, near the community of Cornell, when he lost control of his car on a curve, Officer Ray Guillory said.
It was not known how fast the two cars were traveling at the time of the accident or what happened to the other driver, the officer said.
