NEW YORK — A private funeral for pop artist Andy Warhol will take place in Pennsylvania, his manager said Monday.
Warhol’s brothers, John Warhola of Pittsburgh and Paul Warhola of Elizabeth, Pa., were planning the service for either Wednesday or Thursday, Fred Hughes said.
A memorial service in New York was also being planned, but there were no details yet available, Hughes said.
Warhol, 58, died in his sleep of a heart attack Sunday in New York Hospital, after having undergone gallbladder surgery Saturday. City coroners conducted an autopsy Monday but said that the cause of death had not yet been determined.
