MINNEAPOLIS — A University of Minnesota psychologist who lectured widely on grief and dying was found hanged in his home, and authorities ruled his death a suicide.
Friends said John P. Brantner, 65, had been ill and had said there are circumstances in which suicide is an option. Police found Brantner when they went to his home Sunday after he failed to appear at a church where he was to record a lecture on self-esteem.
