Mother, 8 Children Die in France Trailer Fire

BOURGES, France — A fire that apparently began when a candle set curtains ablaze swept through a trailer home Saturday, killing a woman and eight of her children, authorities said.
Catherine Muller, 36, and eight of her children ranging in age from 1 to 11 were killed, police reported. Her husband, Mario, was sleeping in a nearby van with another of the couple’s children.
